A paid summer science research mentorship at RISE in Rockaway, Queens, for NYC students in grades 9 to 11 who attend school in or near the Rockaways. Students work with scientists from local universities and research institutions on projects about the Rockaway shoreline and Jamaica Bay. Classes meet in person Monday through Thursday from June through mid-August, and students can earn up to $1,200 plus community service hours.
