A free year-long remote research program at MIT for high school sophomores and juniors living in the U.S. outside the Boston area. Students meet weekly online with mentors to work on unsolved problems in mathematics and bioinformatics, spending at least 10 hours a week including a 1.5-hour weekly mentor meeting. Applicants submit an entrance problem set, recommendations and an online interview, and students present their research at a fall conference.
