A physics competition run by CERN in which teams of secondary school students aged 16 to 19 propose an experiment that uses a particle accelerator beamline. A winning team must have at least 5 members, and up to 9 students from each winning team travel with one or two adult supervisors to carry out their experiment in August. Winners have gone to CERN, DESY or partner labs depending on the year. Students under 16 can take part but cannot travel.
