A paid summer research internship at the Boyce Thompson Institute on the Cornell campus in Ithaca, for local or regional students who are at least 16 by the program start. Interns spend six to seven weeks full-time on existing projects, mostly in plant science with some bioinformatics, working with a mentor and attending weekly professional development sessions. They present a poster at a symposium in August, and the stipend is about $4,200, without housing or meals.
