A free one-week ocean science program at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences in East Boothbay for 16 Maine high school juniors from public, private and home schools. The week starts with a research cruise on the Sheepscot River estuary, then moves to lab work with Bigelow scientists on phytoplankton, zooplankton and marine viruses, ending with a presentation to family and friends. Students live in chaperoned campus housing, and all meals are provided.
