Biomedical Career Advancement Program (BCAP)

A 6-week summer research program run by Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Michigan AHEC Southeast Regional Center for students in grades 10-12. Students complete independent projects with research mentors and present them at a symposium, with Fridays set aside for lab safety training, clinical skills and career panels. Those who finish receive a monetary award. Applicants need a 2.75 GPA, and Wayne County and Detroit students get priority.
