A paid summer program run by the clinical trials team at UNC's Thurston Arthritis Research Center for rising high school juniors and seniors who are 16 and older. Four students serve as Research Technicians, creating patient outreach materials, preparing lab kits, shadowing research coordinators on campus and handling office tasks. Pay is $12 to $15 an hour for about 25 to 30 hours a week.
