A yearlong Rutgers program in which high school biology teachers and their students carry out a molecular biology and bioinformatics research investigation and publish the results. Students analyze DNA sequences and submit vetted analyses to GenBank, the international DNA sequence repository. Students need at least one high school biology course and must be entering grade 10, 11 or 12. Its summer session at the Waksman Institute in Piscataway is two weeks and non-residential.
