A set of open-platform robotics contests for students from grade 6 through graduate school, first held in 1986 and run under its current name since 2004. Students build robots for twelve contests such as Sumo Robot, Micromouse, Rescue Robot, Robot Hockey and the Autonomous Vehicle Challenge, with no required kit and low entry fees. Awards are given separately for middle school, high school and post-secondary entrants at a championship in April.
