Health Careers Institute for High School Students

A free five-day summer program at Midwestern University's Glendale, Arizona campus where high school juniors and seniors explore health professions. Students attend hands-on workshops across health fields led by Midwestern faculty and student mentors, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day in July. Admission is competitive, with 64 students selected from around Arizona, and rural students can receive scholarships covering hotel costs, meals and transportation.
