An eight-week summer biomedical research internship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine for high school students from low-income or under-resourced backgrounds. Scholars do mentored lab work on the East Baltimore campus along with coursework in scientific writing, data analysis, math and bioethics. Household income must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, and those who complete the program receive a $3,000 stipend; housing is not provided.
