A selective school-year program run by the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine for high school juniors and seniors from participating public school districts who are interested in medicine. Applicants must be at least 16 at the start of the school year and have a B or better in Algebra 1, Biology, a physical science course and a third year of science. Only 65 spots are open each year, and applicants submit an essay and recommendations and complete an in-person interview.
