A one-week residential engineering, science and technology program at Colorado School of Mines for rising high school seniors who are prospective first-generation college students. Students work in groups on a main design project, join mini-workshops with departments such as mechanical engineering and chemistry, and tour the Edgar Experimental Mine. There is no application fee, and after a $50 confirmation fee Mines covers other costs, including room and board.
