A yearlong internship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles for Latino and African American juniors at public high schools in Los Angeles County. Interns spend seven weeks of the summer working full time, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, in mentored biomedical labs at the Saban Research Institute, and receive college counseling through senior year. Participants get a stipend, a Metro card and meals at the hospital cafeteria.
