A three-week, tuition-based summer program at Barnard College in New York City where rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors study sustainable food systems. Units cover agriculture, health, policy and justice, food systems and climate change, and soil health. Each week students visit farms across the city and New York state to learn from farmers, and they finish with a final project. Students can attend as exploratory, commuter or residential participants.
