A national student rocketry contest in which teams of three to ten students design, build and fly an original model rocket carrying a raw egg to a set altitude and flight time, then return it safely. The rocket must be entirely the students' own work, with no adult help. The top 100 teams advance to the National Finals in Virginia each May, where students compete for more than $100,000 in awards.
